"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of the honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch....to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!"
~Emerson
If we could all try to follow this as our guiding light for success I believe the world would be a little better place! I try to read this every day as I open the fridge in the morning. Molly and I have had it since we first met and I love it! It is too bad that in the United States we are not pushed more in this direction of success. I think overall we would be a happier and healthier nation; instead it is about having a very successful job, making good money, and always putting yourself first. Whereas we should be focusing on friendships, family, hobbies, and what really makes us and each other happy! Just my thoughts..Cheers!
