Tumalo Falls in Winter

Considering that we have almost hit 600" of snow this year up in the mountains, we have plenty yet to go play in. A few weeks ago Molly and I skied up to Tumalo Falls, the falls are beautiful all year round but in the winter they are more pristine. In the winter there are fewer people enjoying the 90ft falls and is as if you have Tumalo Creek, the falls, and the North Fork Trail to yourself. It is only a few mile ski in from the end of the road and it is well worth if if you have the chance to ski, snowshoe, or bike to in the summer.. Cheers to the great outdoors and all it has to offer us!!! Hope you enjoy the pics..

This is on the way up looking through an old burned out Ponderosa..Off in the distance is the a cliff that is off to the one side of the falls..

Another view looking up towards the North and South Fork of Tumalo Creek..

Here Molly and I are at the bottom of the falls...

Almost to the top.

At the top, looking over the edge and down the 90ft falls...Ready to drop in...Ha, maybe not.

Following the creek on the way back down..

Finn, enjoying the water on the way down....

Like I said earlier, if you get a chance to go up there anytime of year it is well worth it...
