Sailing Elk Lake

This past weekend Molly and I drove down the road from Bend here and went sailing for the first time since we lived in Duluth!!! We went to Elk Lake to sail with Luke and Emily...later on we ended up sailing with Grant(Molly's manager) on his boat..At the end of the day we went canoeing and camping a little further down the road with a different group of friends....A great weekend it was!!!

Molly and I enjoying the sun...and drink...the wind was minimal at this point so we were just hanging out in the middle of the lake waiting for wind to pick up.

Grant saw us from the marina...and that the wind was dead...so he paddled his old wind board out and gave us a hitch...Once we got to the dock the wind picked up again so Grant and Molly went out on his Chrysler 22 while Luke, Emily, and I cruised the little boat..trying to keep it from tipping over!!

After our day of sailing we met some friends on Craine Prairie Reservoir..did some canoeing and hanging out...This is Finn and our camp spot...

This is view from our campsite...out in the middle somewhere is where Gabe and I swamped the canoe...long story made short we swam for sometime before we made it back to shore!!! My stomach hurt I was laughing so much..did not help that this happened in the dark and we could barely see our camp!!! Cheers to good times and good friend...
