Weekend..

This past weekend Molly and I had lots of time to explore our surroundings as Winter started to settle in..Here are a few pics from cross country skiing, cutting wood, driving in the desert, and alpine skiing....Enjoy!

Molly by the shallow Todd Creek flowing out of Todd Lake. We skied from Dutchman Flat to here via The Dutchman Loop and Water Tower Trail..It is so much more peaceful up here in the Winter because very few people are around, unlike Summer when the area is packed because people can drive right to the lake..The lake covers some 40 odd acres and at its deepest point is about 56 feet..

Me by Todd Lake..

Molly cruising down Water Tower Trail.

Lunch stop.

Molly enjoying a quick lunch..

The old Stihl Farm Boss(thanks dad!) taking a rest while cutting wood out in The Deschutes National Forest.

Buddy Gabe and his dog Roxy....Lunch break and time to fix "Wild Thing", before we loaded the trailer up..

Out in the Desert East of town...At the Milican Store...I like these gas prices..We could afford many long road trips at this cost!!

Milican Store...It has had better days, to say the least!!

Before Mt. Bachelor opened up Molly and I went skinning up Bachelor to get some turns in and get the hiking legs in shape....Winter is here!!!
