Some good reads...

Since I have taken a few month sabbatical from blogging I have started to miss putting my words down and voicing my thoughts...It is a sunny day here in Bend and I am watching our first snowfall melt away so I thought I would get back on the bandwagon and do some blogging....

Anyways, our lives have been filled the last couple of months with lots of visitors, some traveling around the Pacific Northwest, reading, playing, and our house remodel projects....Oh yeah, we have been working too, that being the least exciting of our lives...Just thought I would fill ya in on some good reading..which some of these you may already have read...

The first two books are by A.C. Weisbecker..He once worked as a screenplay writer back in the 80s and I believe he was in Hollywood for some 20+ years writing and producing ads and shows...probably his most famous was Miami Vice....If you would like to find more out about Weisbecker check out his website http://www.banditobooks.com/ On here you can see his new documentary called Water Time, Surf Travel Diary of a Madman. From watching the trailer I cannot wait to see it...Here are his first two book...

This is the second of A.C's..I originally read this one first..I had never heard of the guy and loved the cover..I am a sucker for a good road trip story!! It made me want to pack the truck up with the dogs and wife and hit the road. Go see things, surf, explore, work in countries where the work is actually valued, and not just the paperwork, legalities, policies, and politics..At least that is what it inspired me to do..Just like any book, it can motivate every reader in a different way...

This book is very different from his first as he is looking for a long lost friend and along the way discovers much out about himself and his buddy, be it good or bad.....He also gets a ton of adventure and surfing in, which is probably the most important part. Hope you enjoy..Next...

This part fiction part non-fiction by Weisbecker will crack you up and keep you wanting more..It is hard to tell where the fiction meets the non-fiction but non the less is a great book that reads really fast...If you don't like reading about drug smuggling, non-sense books, with lots of foot notes you may not like this first book of his...Cheers to all good reading out there...
