Last night we had a very pleasant get together with a friend from afar. Patty, a nurse I worked with when we first moved to Bend. We worked nights together and Molly and I got to be friends with her on long runs and mountain bike rides off in the mountains..Soon after we had met Patty, she decided she needed a change and really wanted to help people; so she packed her stuff up and moved to Cambodia to work with women with AIDS and children without homes. Now, after saying she was going for 3 months she has been there for 3 years!! She is an amazingly kind and giving person..It was so nice to have dinner with her last night and to get to hang out...She is working with http://www.mmfthailand.org/ if you have any interest in giving to this wonderful cause or sponsoring a child, just click on the website...She works at the Cambodia/ Poipet Home...Or if you are just interested in following her progress in Cambodia, her blogspot is: poipetpatty.blogspot.com.
