Canoeing Clear Lake

On Sunday Molly and I loaded up the old FJ60 with the canoe, dogs, and food. We drove to Clear Lake up near the top of The McKenzie River for an afternoon of canoeing in the 90 degree heat, warm for this time of year! The lake sits at a little over 3000ft and has beautiful mountain views around it. The clarity of the water is great...like Lake Superior or many of the BWCA Lakes. Here are some of the pics: Molly with Finn and Kaia. The old Wenonah Echo beached. There were lots of stumps in the water that were easily 20ft+ tall, very clear water. Molly with Mount Washington in the background. The last pic is a reflection on the beach bottom at about 15ft of water(you can see Molly up front with Finn, Kaia in the middle, and me in back.) Enjoy, and if you get a chance check this lake out! Another plus, no motorized boats.
